established in 1991 as Wild Inside Nature Programs, is dedicated to supporting anyone who wants to teach or learn about nature and tourism in their own region (teachers, home educators, group leaders, parents and the children they work with, nature centers, consultants, nature contractors, Heritage Interpreters, eco tour guides, kayak guides etc).
We do this by providing professional development workshops, useful nature resources, hands-on activity ideas, topical references and research information on the natural history of wildlife (plants and animals) in the Pacific Northwest. All this information is available on our web-site.
We have made a conscious effort to verify and present only correct information in these web-pages.
IDAT volunteers with Hospitality Industry Education Advisory Committee (HIEAC) to offer National Tourism Career Awareness programs for secondary schools and employment organizations in the Nanaimo region.
We invite you to let us know if you have more recent or corrected information, or know of links that would be useful for teachers, eco tour operators or students that directly relate to our theme!
